The Vineyard Community Church, Chatsworth, South Africa: Statement of Purpose (Revised March, 2003)

We want to be an instrument of Gods Kingdom by continuing the ministry of Jesus which is the only valid ministry available.

We do this by:

Bringing people into relationship with Jesus, healing them of their spiritual, emotional & physical sicknesses, training them to live and minister to others effectively, and sending those who are called of God to do the same here and abroad.

We want to grow a church of obedient disciples, based in Durban, KZN, that will glorify God by being an instrument of the Kingdom and a model for establishing, training and overseeing workers, leaders and churches in order to fulfil the Biblical mandate to communicate the gospel of the Kingdom and to build the church of Jesus Christ. (Matt. 16:16-19; Matthew 28: 18-20; Isa.61; Luke 4:18ff)
